NEW SONG “We Will Parade” (Justice vs Queen mash-up)

I was listening to “Parade” by Justice the other day and noticed it has the exact same beat at “We Will Rock You,” so about an hour or so ago, I decided to mash the songs up and here we are. I didn’t do much beyond laying the Queen vocal on the Justice song. I know Queen mashups have been done and done again, but it’d my first mashup and it’s the easiest place to start. The result is simple but effective, I think.

I have been hired as a staff writer for 365 Albums A Year, an album recommendation site that posts about a new album every day. I’m scheduled to have my articles published on Mondays, so my first one will be online tomorrow. It’s a good site, so have a look, especially on Mondays.

Thought I’d share this. I love what they do with the outro here.

05-30 update

I don’t know if I’ve been promoting “Before” better than I did the first album or if it’s just better, but it’s been getting a lot more downloads than the first album did.

“A lot more” is relative… we’re on a pretty small scale here. Since its release on August 1, 2011, “We Will Be Content” has been downloaded 9 times. Since its release on May 15, 2012, “Before” has been downloaded 7 times.

That’s about 0.03 downloads per day for “WWBC,” compared to 0.5 per day for “Before.” For me, that’s a success. It’s nice to see my stuff getting a small bit of exposure and it’s nice knowing that some people enjoy it. It’s weird to think We Will Be Content is an artist in a few iTunes libraries out there (it sits between We Are Scientists and Weezer in mine).

Thanks for being here and if you haven’t heard my music yet, I’ve linked to both albums in the first paragraph of this post. Alright, have a good one.
